Steadfast Love

"Because of your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.  So, I will bless you as long as I live; in Your name I will lift up my hands"-Psalm 83

About 4 months ago, I answered the Lord's call to go to Kenya and love on His people there, to teach them about His love, to tell them the life changing gospel.  I chose to listen to God and go on this trip, thinking that He would be using me to change peoples lives.  I knew that I, too, would be changed after this trip, but I didn't realize that God would bring more life and transformation and restoration to me before I even left the country! Last night, the Lord spoke to me so clearly and spoke through others here on the trip about what He thinks about me and who I am in Him. I am loved. I am valued. I am irreplaceable. I am a comfort to others. God is my fortress, my source of steadfast love <3.  It was such a beautiful experience to hear from the Lord so clearly and to know even more that His love for me is steadfast, eternal, and unconditional.

Training camp has been an amazing experience.  I love my team. Love love love my team.  I am so excited for the way that the Lord is going to use us together in Kenya.  I know that He handpicked each one of us for this team and that each of us is here for a specific purpose. The first night we were together, we took to the streets of downtown Atlanta to minister to the homeless there (we also got the chance to hang out with people who were there for Dragon Khan…look it up. It was a great experience:)  God led me to talk to a lady named "Grandma Grace"  Grace was a homeless woman who described herself as slow. She was wild, funny, but also really strange and hard to talk to.  She was a very interesting lady.  As we talked to her, I began to see how starved for affection she was..how much she needed the unconditional love and affection of a Heavenly Father.  Although the experience was a little awkward and a little uncomfortable at first, I am so glad that God led us to her so that we could show her the love of the Father and to pray over her.

I am so excited to head off to Kenya tomorrow! I KNOW that the Lord has big things in store and that seeds that have been planted there are ready to be watered and to flourish!  Please keep my team and I in your prayers.  I am so thankful for the love and support each one of you has given me. God bless, and hope to hear from you soon 🙂
