New places, New faces.

Training camp wasn't about comfy chairs, good food, nice sleeping quaters or cleanliness. It was about training to be physically, emotionally and spiritually ready for these next four months in Kenya. I have learned so much about who God is and what an amazing plan he has for my team and I.

One of the most memorable times of training was the first day we got to camp. After arriving and dropping off our bags at the cabin we were told to grab three items that we wanted for the rest of the night. Three items seemed like a lot, until I had to chose between my tent, sleeping pad, pillow, jacket, bug spray, sleeping bag or my head lamp. Once my items were chosen, we made our shelter with two tarps and some rope. This was the beginning of many adventures.

Also, this was only the first day meeting my teammates and they were making us sleep SO CLOSE. But after choosing our items my team and I began to laugh, tell jokes and share our excitement about Africa. When it came time to sleep we ended up snuggling and laughing until our stomachs hurt.

Now after day four the friendships have already turned into so much more. We leave tomorrow to embark on this amazing journey together to spread the Gospel. God has great plans for every student here at training camp,
WE WILL BE USED!

Romans: 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
