Maasai Warrior Wannabe

Mambo!!!
So this week I don’t really have anything planned to blog about this time around.  In explanation of the title, I now have just about everything I need to be a Maasai warrior…. minus the major skills and ability to speak Maasai and Kiswahili.  From that I have to say, bargaining is sooo much fun.  The past two days we have gone to the market to get little nick nacks for family and friends ;).  On a more serious topic I feel like I should talk about my growth in my relationship with the Lord.  Since I have been on this trip I have really spent so much more time with Him.  I have been reading the word like its a hunger that grows upon consumption.  I have also read Radical by David Platt (great book to check out) which has really challenged me and just followed up my previous conviction that just some of me is not good enough for God.  All of me is not even good enough for Him.  Especially when you realize that everything you have and everything you are is Him.  The Lord is the only one who can protect us and strengthen us.  As this trip has gone on I have realized that giving EVERYTHING for the Lord is not radical abandonment, but simply normal by the standards of those who are truly wrapped in His grace.  No matter what our fear is, it is something we must give to the Lord.  No matter what we dedicate ourselves to, it is something we must give to the Lord.  No matter who we love or who loves us, we must give it to the Lord.  As a side note for all of the families and friends of people on this trip.  You must trust in the Lord that He has wrapped His arms around us.  You must trust that our lives are for the glory of the Lord.  I apologize that this has come with so little time left.  I guess better late than never.  Yesu nakupenda.
