If God doesn’t show up, we’re screwed.

Hey everyone!

I am here safely in Georgia! We have been here for only 4 short days and God has already done
major work! It really shouldn't be a surprise but honestly, I am a little amazed at what has taken place not only
in me but in my teammates too! Even though I have been surrounded by a team of 12 other people for almost the entire time I've been here, I can't help but to just feel alone with God… an intimiate feeling which I've been
missing out on for awhile by letting myself become distracted with things of the world. God is refreshing my
spirit and completely preparing my heart for Kenya. We leave tomorrow at 8 p.m. I've learned that although it is
impossible to not have expectations, that I am going to have to give up mine. I've learned to realize that I don't deserve any of what I think I do. I've learned that the best tool God has given up in accordance to rights and expectations is a community.

Which brings your to my team! God has called us each by name to create and AMAZING group of people who genuinally love God! It is such a great enviroment. There's Debbie, Andrea, Ashley, Sam B., Andy, Tiffany, Kolby, Jeremy, Natalie, Sam Y., and Kayla. Together we are crazy, loud, loving, caring, passionate, and ready to do what it takes to live out the will God has for each one of us. Being with such an awesome group of people makes it a little easier to be away from home. They have been nothing but accepting and encouraging. I can't wait to get to know everyone better over these next four months! I'm excited for the memories we will make, and lives we will change!

I wouldn't be here without all of your guys' support and love! I miss everyone and can't wait to see
what God does back at home! I am still asking for your prayers. Pray for God to be already preparing the
people in Kenya for our trip out there. Pray that God softens their hearts and starts whispering to them so
they already have a sense of what's to come. Also pray for me and my team… for continued unity,
for boldness when ministering, for strength through the hard days, for God to speak to us clearly, and just for
a crazy amount of opportunites to share God's love with the lost people of Kenya.

Overall the these 4 days of trainging camp, I can say GOD IS HERE! I am learing to rely fully on
God. I am only a vessel of God's love, meant to show Him to others. As Jimmy said, "If God doesn't show up,
we're screwed…" I know I can't do this. God is going to do amazing work in Kenya. I am ready to play the
background for these next 4 months.

have no fear.
I love you perfectly
and perfect love draws out fear.
I'll take your burden.
You take my grace."
