Hey everyone!!! Time for an update!! Right now we are taking turns using computers at an internet cafe. This place is amazing!!! Before the trip I felt nervous about coming. I mean I knew that this is where the Lord was calling me, but every moment spent here, ever new voice that graces my ears, reassures me more and more that this is the right place. Today we went and taught English and a little math to children in all years of primary school (the USA equivelant of everything before high school). Claire and I ended up working with 9 and 10 year olds. ~Side not for you mom. I always knew that teaching children is where you belonged and that there was no other place for you, however; I never understood why. Now I do..~ While we were teaching these children I got to work with a little boy named Newton. Newton is a remarkable little boy. He is 9 years old and quite shy. When I first started talking to Newton, I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. He looked up at me and straight into my soul with those beautiful eyes of his and responded, “I want to be a doctor. I want to help everyone.” Newton and I kept talking the entire time I was there ending with a heart-felt, heart-breaking goodbye. Fortunately I was able to leave my hat with him (he loved to wear my hat) with a note inside. This little boy has blessed my soul and shown me what great love and passion the Lord has instilled into such an…. intense place. I can only pray that in those farewell tears that we left each other with, I was able to make a difference in his life. Now for all of you who read this, if you are blessed with coming across this wonderfull soul in your life, cherish and remember it.I love you all!!! BE BLESSED!!
