There is a saying here in Africa… “you may have a watch, but we got the time.” There is almost no concept of time here unless it’s Sunday, and I love it. It is really laid-back and our contacts are completely sold out for Christ and His work.
We just finished with our second day of ministry, the first few days after our arrival were spent doing some cultural training and team building activities. Our first day of ministry we went into the streets and began street witnessing around the church that we are serving at, called ICC (international christian center) and our job was telling people about a month-long event we are having at the chu
rch. We are screening the 5 o clock world cup matches and inviting anyone we can so we may build relationships up reach people for Christ. During our first day out in ministry 8 souls were saved. Our second day, today, we went to a little christian school and ministered to the children there. We all had a blast and the kids loved it. We are going back there tomorrow. Also, we will be doing some work in the slums tomorrow, and I have a feeling some of the people in our group are gonna get a wake-up call…. so please be praying.

We have many plans to reach the lost in the next several weeks and all of us are praying earnestly for the Lord’s favor and blessings of wisdom, peace, and the knowledge of His will for us.
