My community: 14 people with different personalities, talents and weakenss but work together to tell and show people about Jesus' love. People who challenge each other and genuinly care for one another. People full of love for both the LORD and each other. syn: family.
Three short weeks and we've all grown so much… both individually and as a team. They inspire me. Each and every one of them. We are all at different places in our walk with God and He is using all of us in different ways, revealing and teaching us different things. The cool thing is that through that, God reveals and teaches us things through each other.
My team makes me laugh and is there when I cry. Everyone is constantly checking on each othe rmaking sure we are okay. We pray for each other. One thing I have learned is that prayer is SO important. Both out loud and silent. Even if someone prayed the same thing before you out loud.. pray it again. It means something a little different from everyone.
I find myself cosntatly praying.. thanking.. praying for others.. asking for forgiveness.. praying for myself. I thank him every morning for the breath-taking view of Africa. I have found that a relationship for the Lord is a lot like a marriage. Everyday you communicate and are constantly learning about and loving each other. you have your bad days.. but at the end of them you are there for each other.
What about listening? Talking is essential in communication but so is listening. I get caught up in everything I have to say and not listneing for God. As I challenge myself I challenge you to let God have the last word in every conversation you have with him.
I'm loving every minute of this trip. I have my good days and my bad days but i am cosntaly growing. I love the Lord.. I love my team… I love Africa and the people here.. and of course you all! 🙂
