Church Plant

This last week we challenged the team to be praying about what God wants us to do on this trip because we felt like there was more that God wanted from us. So as the week went on we started working at this run down church and we spent one day cleaning up the yard and then started evangelizing. During the week we would worship at the church and everyone would just watch and when I say worship I mean awesome, dancing, jumping, amazing worship (thanks Julie). So the pastor had people coming up to him and asking when we would start having service there because they liked what was going on, so the pastor of that old church and the pastors of ICC started talking and decided to make a new ICC there and we had our first service Sunday. BUT, in order to have service we had to tear down the old church so that we could put a tent up. It took some hard work and very dirty it was probably one of my favorite things to do.

So we finally got the church down and the last couple days we have been moving big rocks to fill in big holes. I feel like this church is going to do big things. Yesterday we went and did more evangelizing and a lot of people are just afraid to give things up, but we planted some seeds and hopefully they will be at church Sunday.

Everyone says things happen for a reason. Well last night we were supposed to be going to a prayer service and our bus was supposed to pick us up but the bus didn’t get there until late. So while we were waiting for the bus a man came up to us asking for a bible and so I began talking to the man and ended up talking to him for about 45 min, he was chewing on a drug called kaut and I told him that I really wanted to know he was serious about changing if I was going to find a bible for him so he spit out the kaut and said he was done drinking from then on. So I told him and one other man that I would get them a bible.
