Army of God

When you read the title “Army of God” what comes to mind? Maybe an army of men from the days of old clad in glistening armor chanting “The will of God!” Maybe a group of men walking with bibles into an area where they are most likely going to leave only with the of martyr. Maybe you even imagine it to be a mass of young adults sharing the word with their generation in a sort of Godly revolution. However, would you ever even fathom it to be about 13 little boys, the eldest of whom being 8 years old, stomping their feet while chanting “MARCH!” in tempo with a fellow disciple? That was the case today as we were escorted by those boys and many more from the orphanage to Kiserian, the city in which we just planted a church and have been sharing the word of God. Today at the orphanage we played different games with them, sang songs with them, and taught them the stories of Daniel in the lion’s den, David and Goliath, and Jonah and the big Fish. The grace of the Lord has worked in many other ways also. This morning while we were inviting people to the church God started pulling my heart to talk to these people about more than church. After talking to Trayday about this for a minute or two, little events happened one after another leading up to conversation between her, a watch maker, his Muslim friend, and I on the side of the street. This conversation was also accompanied by a crowd that reached around twenty people listening with hungry ears. God is great.

p.s. I love my brother and sister and I miss you both!!!!!!!!!!
